Equipment - MSR XGK-II, MSG XGK Expedition
A white gas stove weighing in at 17 oz. Not lightweight, but a good winter stove. The stove uses an external fuel bottle. The stove boils water quickly, is very loud, and does not simmer, but it is simple, effective, and reliable. The priming operation can be challenging at times, but the stove works, and works well. I have use this stove on cold winter trips when the Trangia does not perform as well. Still the SVEA 123R is my preferred white gas stove. Read on for more details. |
