Equipment - Thermarest Self-inflating Sleeping Pads
These pads have over 20 years of field use behind them. Thermarest pads are fairly durable, but they do have to be taken care of in the field. Watch out for sharp rocks, sticks, and plants that can puncture the pad. Thermarest pads pack down into a small size, but do weigh more than closed cell foam pads. Are they more comfortable? Sure, but do you want to carry the extra weight? This is largely a personal choice. |
